Embankment in via Trieste: work almost completed

In Meldola, work on the embankment is nearing completion to protect the residential area of ​​Via Trieste from water. In recent days, the Municipality’s technicians have verified the stage of construction of the new embankment to make the residential area of ​​Via Trieste and the football field safe from a hydraulic point of view, compared to a flood like that of May 2023. which were completely flooded.

“The new reinforced earth embankment, currently being completed – specifies the note from the administration – was built between the two existing football fields and will allow the waters of the Bidente river to flow away without flooding the residential area of ​​the last one. section of via Trieste and the highest field under reconstruction. This is an initial work included in the interventions approved and soon to be carried out to protect the infrastructures and residential buildings flooded in May last year sewer system also in via Trieste. Other interventions on the Strada Vernacchia-Montevescovo and on the Strada Balbate for a further 150,000 euros are in the awarding phase with expected start and completion by the summer.
