Florence, 15 June 2024 – La Tuscany region has defined the guidelines on the use ofwater for showers on the beach and in bathing establishments. The guidelines they were done together with the ASL.
In detail a quota will have to work with drinking waterthat is, at least two cold showers and one hot shower for every hundred umbrellas and shadow points or for every fraction of fifty. But they will also be able to use showers and foot washes in addition to the essential equipment required by law non-potable water: it will be enough for a sign to indicate that it is not, that it comes from wells regularly reported and registered by the Region and that it meets certain requirements.
The establishments will have to carry out self-monitoring activities at least once in the month preceding the opening of the structure and compliance with the parameters identified by the Region will have to be integrated with a evaluation plan And legionella risk.
As explained by the Region, the guidelines for the use of water from wells, which is also a way to save water from the aqueduct and encourage rational use of available resources with a view to greater sustainability, have already been communicated from the department for the right to health to businesses and trade associations.
