Lucca, 16 June 2024 – Continue the work of control of the territory by the Police. On Friday evening, the officers carried out an extraordinary control service of the territory aimed at preventing urban and local crimes drug dealing narcotics.
In particular, the area of the railway station where 10 non-EU citizens were identified, one of which was illegal, who, after throwing some hashish on the ground, was trying to escape from the underpass that leads to via Nottolini, being promptly blocked by the policemen already stationed there. The service continued inside Porta San Pietro where they were checked 12 young people.
One of these was reported by the drug-sniffing dog who smelled the presence of a narcotic substance. The young man, discovered by the dog, extracted approximately 50 grams of hashish from inside his underwear, already divided and ready for dealing, which is why he was referred to the local Judicial Authority.
The police service continued on the San Colombano bastion where, in a dark area, a group of young people who were there were subjected to control, without initially presenting singular situations.
Lastly, the officers checked a bar on the outskirts of the city, where some criminals were identified inside. In the same place the drug-sniffing dog smelled some narcotic substance along the hedge that runs alongside the tables of the business in question. Therefore, 8 grams of cocaine were found, already divided into 5 doses.
During the service, 50 people were identified.
