Caserta, 15 June 2024 – Double murder near the Succivo exit of the 7bis state road, in the territory of Orta di Atella, on the road between Succivo and Orta di Atella, in the Caserta area. The victims are two brothers, Marco and Claudio Marrandino, aged 39 and 29, who were in the car at the Asse Mediano exit. The largest was a lawyer. Claudio was shot inside the cockpit of the white BMW, Marco was shot while he tried to escape. A police patrol passing through the area found the bodies lying in a pool of blood, one in the car, the other a few dozen meters away.
The soldiers of the Marcianise company have a 53-year-old man was arrested, a worker by profession, who is thought to be the perpetrator of the double murder. At the crime scene both cars were stopped and it seems that the three were arguing when the worker, with no criminal record, pulled out a gun, killing both. The investigators tend to exclude the hypothesis of a Camorra ambush. The two brothers had no criminal record and were from good families, without any connection to the clans of the area.
