“This tour is my way of experiencing music and bringing music to life in truly extraordinary places, to be able to give those who don’t know them the chance to discover the beauties of our country because it’s true, we all know, that Italy it is an extraordinary country full of important places from a cultural and artistic point of view but there are still people who don’t know them or who don’t often have the opportunity to visit them”. Thus Biagio Antonacci on his “Live 2024 – It only works if we are together” which starts today and tomorrow from the Baths of Caracalla to then stop at the Ancient Port of Genoa, the Theater at the Castle of Roccella Jonica, the Amphitheater of the Pompeii Excavations, at the Fossato del Castello in Barletta (26 and 27 July at the Fossato del Castello), at the Teatro Antico in Taormina, at the Sferisterio in Macerata and at the Amphitheater of the Vittoriale in Gardone Riviera.
An unconventional tour for the places and also for the choice to stay for at least two or three days in the same place, an opportunity for the artist and the fans not only to enjoy an evening in an exceptional place but also to visit the cities and discover or rediscover their history.
The culmination of the tour will arrive in September with the 10 dates at the Vittoriale Amphitheater in Gardone Riviera, the first time for an Italian artist to be the protagonist of such a long residency on the shores of Lake Garda. The Milanese singer-songwriter and his band of multi-instrumentalists have prepared a show for the public that will retrace the main stages of Biagio Antonacci’s career (we can mention “Se io se lei” and “Se è vero che ci sei” but there are many successes that have dotted Biagio’s now over thirty-year career and which can be listened to during the evenings) but will also give fans the opportunity to listen to the latest successes taken from the album “L’Inizio” published in January, songs such as the singles “A Cena con gli Dei” and “Lasciati pensiero” and others never sung live such as “Delivery”.
“Deciding a setlist – explains Antonacci – is always complex, you have to find a compromise between the songs that can never be missing and that the public rightly expects and those that are important for me to sing and propose to the public, to the most loyal fans of them. they know and maybe they don’t often find them in live shows. After each new album I always try to find a new balance between the songs that the public already knows and those that they have yet to hear live for the first time. For this tour we tried to find a balance between up tempo songs, to dance with me and ballads where we can share together the emotions that a concert gives you”.
Biagio Antonacci has renamed this tour not as the title of the latest album but “Live 2024 – It only works if we are together”, underlining his desire to find himself ever closer to his audience after the successful experience of the previous Palco Centrale Tour. This search for human warmth, closeness with the public, will also be staged through the scenography designed by the show designer Francesco De Cave who has chosen for Antonacci a stage characterized by latest generation LED strips (and therefore low consumption) designed to envelop the Milanese artist during the different moments of the show.
