CRI stamp issued by the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy


Poste Italiane announces that today 15 June 2024 an ordinary stamp belonging to the thematic series “civic sense” dedicated to Italian Red Cross, on the 160th anniversary of the institution, joint issue with the Vatican City State, the Republic of San Marino and the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, relating to the value of tariff B open at €1.25.

Circulation: one hundred and fifty thousand sheets containing four copies of stamps each.

The stamp is printed by the Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato SpA, in rotogravure, on non-watermarked fluorescent, gummed coated paper.

Stamp

The cartoon depicts some volunteers from the Italian Red Cross engaged in relief efforts after the collapse of the Morandi Bridge in Genoa. At the top right, the logo of the 160th anniversary of the establishment of the Italian Red Cross is reproduced.

The stamp is completed by the writing “ITALY” and the tariff indication “B”.

Leaflet

The Foglietto, which contains, on the right, four identical stamps, depicts, on the left, some torches with the emblem of the Red Cross, symbolizing the union of volunteers and solidarity, which recall the historic torchlight procession which takes place every year between Solferino and Castiglione delle Stiviere celebrating the birth of the Red Cross, founded by Henry Dunant, delimited, at the top, by the logo of the 160th anniversary of the establishment of the Italian Red Cross and the writing “FOUNDED ON 15 JUNE 1864, WITH 1,000 OFFICES AND OVER 150,000 VOLUNTEERS, THE RED CROSS HAS BEEN CONSTANTLY AT THE SIDE OF THE POPULATION AND INSTITUTIONS FOR 160 YEARS” and, below, from the monochrome MIMIT logo and QR code of the Italian Red Cross internet page dedicated to the issue.

The legends “JOINT ISSUE”, “ITALY”, “SAN MARINO”, “SOVEREIGN MILITARY ORDER OF MALTA” and “CITTÀ DEL VATICANO” complete the leaflet.

The first day of issue cancellation will be available at the philatelic counter of the Rome VR post office

The stamp and related philatelic products, postcards, cards and illustrative bulletins will be available at post offices with philatelic counters, the “Filately Spaces” in Florence, Genoa, Milan, Naples, Rome, Rome 1, Turin, Trieste, Venice, Verona and on the filatelia.poste.it website.

For the occasion, a four-fold philatelic folder in A4 format was also created, containing four pieces of paper, four personalized envelopes and the illustrative bulletin, at a price of €50.
