This time, however, the Carabinieri, thanks to rapid and incisive investigative activity, managed to identify and stop the two scammers who, having fled, then decided to stay at an accommodation facility in Scilla.
The old woman’s precious possessions were all recovered and seized, while charges were filed against the two criminals.
The proceeding is currently in the preliminary investigation phase and the principle of not guilty applies to the suspects until the final sentence.
