Prato, 15 June 2024 – Around 2,500 children (aged 8 to 11) and leaders filled the park of the former Hippodrome on the occasion of the regional gathering of Cubs and Ladybugs of Agesci Toscana, the Italian Catholic Guides and Scouts Association, founded 50 years ago. This event represents the culmination of a journey focused on the value of “Good Deeds”, the gesture of courtesy typical of scout education. Scouts who arrived by train and bus from all over Tuscany and who had already animated the center yesterday with an initiative aimed at discovering the city, its historical figures and its traditions.

After the overnight stay in parishes, schools, gyms and in the Misericordia headquarters, today is the central moment of the three days (called “Leave the imprint”), with the meeting in the park of the former Hippodrome for a morning dedicated to games organized by the various groups present. In the afternoon, however, the menu includes laboratory activities, with the participation of 30 Tuscan voluntary associations. There will also be a concert by two musical groups in the background with scout songs and lots of fun. The great gathering will end tomorrow (Sunday 15 June) with the celebration of mass presided over by Bishop Giovanni in Piazza Duomo at 11.
