In the endless dispute on the coast of Casamicciola Terme and on the provincial roads, the Metropolitan City of Naples fines the Municipality just over a thousand euros (poof!), the local authority opposes it. As our readers will remember the metropolitan roads management of the ‘Ing.Giancarlo Sarno, together with the Campania Region which owns said sections falling within the municipality of Casamicciola Terme, have branded as illegal the works in progress on the coastal stretch and on the streets downstream of the municipality on the island of Ischia, opening a bitter dispute . Today the fines are also arriving, certainly laughable amounts, but which give a sense of the situation. The City Council, in the absence of the Budget Councilor Ilaria Ferrandino and the official secretary, yesterday evening at 8.00 pm arranged the opposition to the Reports of assessment of violations of the Highway Code No. 39 – Chron Reg. No. 263/2024 and No. 40 – Chron. Reg. No. 264/2024, issued by the Metropolitan City of Naples – Road Area – Road Technical Directorate. Two reports, one for the works at sea and the other for the interventions on the Via della Lava, towards Piazza Bagni, the road hit by the floods of 2099 and 2022. As the public documents explain, on 20 May 2024, it was notified, by certified email (prot. Body no. 10498 – Official Register of the Metropolitan City of Naples U.0077253 dated 18/05/2024), to Mayor and the Municipality of Casamicciola Terme report of violation of the Highway Code No. 39 Reg. Chron. No. 263/2024, which contested the violation of the rule referred to in art. 21, paragraphs 1 and 4, of the Security Council and a fine of €606.20 was imposed for an alleged infringement (“… opened a road construction site on the roadway for the construction of traffic islands without the prior authorization of the body that owns the road” ), which would have occurred on 05/18/2024, at 10.00 am, in Casamicciola Terme, at SP n. 506 “Casamicciola – Piazza Bagni”. On 21 May 2024, it was notified, by certified email (prot. Body no. 10651 – Official Register of the Metropolitan City of Naples U.0078515 of 05/21/2024), to the Mayor and the Municipality of Casamicciola Terme report of violation of the Highway Code No. 40 Reg. Chron. No. 264/2024, which contested the violation of the rule referred to in art. 21, paragraphs 1 and 4, of the Security Council and a fine of €606.20 was imposed for an alleged infringement (“… opened a road construction site on the roadway for the construction of traffic islands without the prior authorization of the body that owns the road” ), which would have occurred on 05/20/2024, at 11.00 am, in Casamicciola Terme (NA), at Km 26+805 of the SP ex SS N. 270 of the green island. Therefore, approximately 1,212.4 euros on which the challenge was opened in court and which in fact could or could not remedy the abuses in question with the payment or with the court verdict. We will see. Meanwhile, the municipality, having recognized the need to appeal against the aforementioned minutes, which appear to be illegitimate, opposing all the requests made and asserting the reasons of the Authority regarding the inadmissibility and unfoundedness, in fact and in law, of the objections raised with the notified reports. The municipal council has thus decided to lodge an appeal against the reports of assessment of violations in question, delegating the Manager of Area II Territorial Services to adopt the relevant acts connected and consequential to this resolution, including the identification of the professional, signing of the assignment specification and spending commitment.
