SThe Feast of Saint Anthony in Foggia concluded last night with the solemn procession of the statue of the Saint through the streets of the neighborhood, an event which was a great success with the public. They took turns on stage Fabio Conticelli and Dino La Cecilia, Senza Resa, Micky Sepalone and Angela Piaf with their Canta Napoli Band.
Strongly desired by Parish Priest Fra Gianluca Capitaneo, with the precious contribution of the parish community and the patronage of the Municipality of Foggia, the rich program of religious, cultural and recreational events which involved people of all ages had an excellent response to participation.
Moments of particular emotion were experienced during the religious celebrations, which culminated with the evening procession on Thursday 13 June, which saw the participation of hundreds of faithful who accompanied the statue of the Saint through the streets of the neighbourhood, amidst songs and prayers.
Great success therefore for the collateral events, which animated the neighborhood with music, shows, food stands and activities for the little ones. An opportunity to meet and share for residents and others, who were able to spend a few days of celebration full of fun and tradition.

“These anniversaries represent a clear example of how neighborhood parties can play a fundamental role in enhancing the suburbs. Events of this type, in fact, not only offer moments of leisure and socialization for residents, but also contribute to creating a sense of community and belonging, counteracting the isolation and marginalization often associated with these areas.
I am sure that the administration, associations and citizens will continue to collaborate to support and promote neighborhood parties, recognizing them as an important tool for urban regeneration and social cohesion. Investing in these events means investing in the future of the suburbs and the well-being of their inhabitants.
Neighborhood parties, like this one, teach that the suburbs are not just places of marginality, but also containers of invaluable resources: the desire to be together, the passion for traditions, the resourcefulness and creativity of citizens. Valuing these aspects through sharing and participation events is the key to building a better future for the suburbs and for the entire city” concludes the vocalist of the Canta Napoli Band and former president of the Camporeale-San Lorenzo district.
