The provincial secretary of the Democratic Party Massimo Gazza was a guest last night on Decoder: “For the new council, the Democratic Party does not propose names to the mayor: with Massari we work together in the interests of the city”

Massimo Gazza he is optimistic: Marco Massari’s new board will be a strong team, with competent and recognized personalities who support the mayor. The Democratic Party, with its 41% in the city and the 17 councilors elected in the Sala del tricolore, will make its contribution. But with the right method: going to the mayor with a list of names, says Gazza, would be an arrogant attitude.
“I think the mayor makes the council. The right people in strategic positions in the administration can make a great contribution to the city.”
The Reggio Emilia centre-left won in 26 of the 31 municipalities of the province in which the vote was taken. The Democratic Party grew from 30 percent of the 2022 elections to 40 percent of the 2024 European elections, with a leap of 20 thousand votes. Massari’s clear victory in Reggio for Gazza is the icing on the cake. The secretary of the Democratic Partyin the studies of Decoders, also replies to center-right candidate Giovanni Tarquiniwhich reacted to the defeat with accusations to opponents and the media.
