Countdown to the eighth edition of the international literary review “Velletri Libris”, organized by Mondadori Bookstore Velletri-Lariano-Genzano-Frascati-Cisterna and from De Cultura Foundationscheduled for summer 2024 at the Cloister of the House of Music Cultures Velletri. The inauguration will welcome in Velletri, Wednesday 19 June, Gianluca Gottowhich will present “When happiness begins” (Mondadori).
The Cloister of the House of Culture and Music will be embellished, during the evenings, with art exhibitions curated by the Association ArtsCrafts Castelli Romani, a reality active since 2014 with the aim of rediscovering talents and activities that have characterized the Castelli Romani area for centuries. Art and craftsmanship are certainly not the exclusive heritage of Castelli, but the geographical location certainly influenced both the inspiration of the artists and the techniques of processing the artisanal artefacts. ArteMestieri Castelli Romani aims to aggregate artisanal and artistic excellence, sharing knowledge, experiences and even sources of inspiration and to create educational workshops, in collaboration with scholastic and cultural structures. The painter who will exhibit on Wednesday 19 June, from 8pm onwards, is Marzia Gianni.
Before the long-awaited meeting with the author, the ribbon cutting and the start of the eighth edition in the presence of organizers and authorities with theinauguration official at 8.30pm.
At 8.45pm Claudio Leoni And Giulio Mazzali they will go on stage for the first appointment of the “Small prologue in verse”, a themed poetic introduction.
At 9pm Gianluca Gotto, writer and – as he himself likes to define himself – digital nomad, who shares his life and travel experiences through his writings, will tell “When happiness begins”. The book describes the importance of questions and the related search for answers. Often to find the answers you have to start, and in this sense the writer’s latest literary effort collects the questions that more than all have stirred something deep in his heart and in his mind. They are unusual questions, sometimes very specific, in other cases bizarre. They lead to reflection, but also to the desire to act to change things. They are often uncomfortable, even impertinent, but they are necessary to bring out from the internal chaos a starting point, an awareness, a sharp fragment of truth to be handled with care.
“Velletri Libris” is conceived and created by the Mondadori Bookstore Velletri-Lariano-Genzano-Frascati-Cisterna and by the De Cultura Foundation and enjoys the patronage of the Ministry of Culture, the Lazio Region, the Metropolitan City of Rome Capital, the Municipality of Velletri and the Castelli Romani System , in collaboration with Fondarc. Food and wine partners are Casale della Regina and CREA Viticoltura-Enologia, who take care of the tastings with wines and culinary delicacies, while the main sponsors for the 2024 edition are Allianz FC Group 0001, Banca Popolare del Lazio, Clinica Madonna delle Grazie, and Class Car.
