Failure to pay in April: “Moreschi does not respect the agreement”

The long dispute between the ownership of Moreschi, one of the most important brands of luxury footwear made in Italy, and the workers of the Vigevano factory, 59 in all, for whom, in recent weeks, letters have been sent, does not appear to be over. of dismissal. According to the unions, the company did not comply with the agreements. “Filctem-Cgil of Pavia – we read in a press release – has given a mandate to its lawyer to challenge the non-fulfilment of those hired by Moreschi spa with the signing of the union agreement at the conclusion of the collective dismissal procedure started on 19 February”.

According to the unions, the salaries accrued up to April were not paid within the expected deadlines. “It appears evident – continues the press release – that the failure to promptly fulfill the obligations assumed by Moreschi spa constitutes behavior that undermines the rights of the workers involved in the mobility procedure as well as the prerogatives of the trade union parties who signed the agreement”.

The unions invite the company, which has decentralized production and will dispose of the production area along state road 494 in September, “to proceed with the immediate payment of wages, especially in consideration of the food nature of the sums claimed and their consistency. In the absence of immediate feedback, legal action will be taken as per the mandate already given to our lawyer.”

For four years Moreschi has been part of the Swiss Hurleys fund, which initially confirmed Vigevano as the company’s headquarters, only to then change strategy and decentralize the management and administrative sector, the style and product offices and the shop along with production.
