As its philosophy reflects, the Polinote Music Festival 2024 wants to introduce its spectators to music at 360 degrees, without genre boundaries, convinced that there are no too many distinctions when it comes to good music. On Saturday at the Pia Baschiera Tallon Foundation, an event that talks about inclusion “Beat in circle” drum circle and music therapy. On Sunday at the Cathedral of San Marco there will be a concert by the Austrian Capella Calliope Chamber Orchestra of the University of Graz

Now in its 11th edition, the Polinote Musica Festival offers a rich and original calendar of concerts, all with free admission. A transversal musical project that collects and intertwines different musical genres (classical, jazz, pop/rock), innovative and engaging proposals, offering the public unique opportunities where the cultural, social dimension and emotional experience are intertwined with the passion for music. This is demonstrated by the proposals for next weekend, very different from each other, but at the same time very fascinating. We start on Saturday 15 June morning at 10.00 at the Pia Baschiera Tallon Foundation with an event that talks about inclusion “Beat in circle” drum circle and music therapy. On Sunday afternoon, however, starting from 4.00 pm in the Cathedral of San Marco there will be a concert by the Austrian Capella Calliope Chamber Orchestra of the University of Graz.

BEAT IN CIRCLE: A RHYTHM FOR ALL. DRUM CIRCLE AND MUSIC THERAPY. With Federico Pace professional educator, music teacher and trainer, Drum Circle facilitator and Francesca Zanini music therapist. A meeting that combines the techniques of the Drum Circle (facilitated percussion circle) and those of Music Therapy, born from the union of intentions of different professionals who see music and rhythm as tools of social inclusion. Engaging event aimed at the active participation of children/young people and young adults with Down Syndrome and intellectual disabilities, together with their families, their educators, classmates and friends, created in collaboration with the Down FVG Association, Pordenone section. A facilitated Drum Circle is an engaging rhythmic event in which participants, through the use of drums and percussion, are led to an awareness of group unity and potential. Music therapy is a discipline that uses music and/or musical elements (sound, rhythm, melody and harmony) in order to facilitate and encourage communication, relationships, motor skills, expression, organization and other relevant objectives. . Music is a means of communication even where words become inaccessible. In fact, it allows you to communicate through an alternative code to the verbal one and can bring about improvements in the affective, motivational and communicative sphere and represent a real therapy for the person with disabilities. CAPELLA CALLIOPE CHAMBER ORCHESTRA OF THE KUNSTUNIVERSITÄT GRAZ (Austria)
The Polinote Music Festival renews its appointment with the prestigious Capella Calliope Chamber Orchestra of the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Graz (Austria), made up of some of the best young talents at an international level. The group regularly performs Cantatas, Masses and Oratorios from all eras not only in Graz, but also in Vienna, Germany and Hungary, receiving unanimous acclaim everywhere. Direction by Anke Schittenhelm. With the special participation of Torrin Williams solo guitar. A collaboration between Polinote and the University of Music, Arts and Entertainment of Graz, which dates back to several editions ago and which has consolidated and renewed over the years, hosting every year in the Festival the young talents of Austria’s oldest Music University. Made in collaboration with Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Graz (Austria), Parish of the Cathedral Co-Cathedral of San Marco Evangelista in Pordenone, Segovia Guitar Academy Association. Polinote Music Festival is an initiative of POLINOTE Cooperativa Sociale Onlus, a company founded in Pordenone in 2013 and which quickly became a point of reference for the FVG Region in the field of training and the organization of musical events and events.
