Ancona14 June 2024 – A plaque was awarded to the young gymnast Tommaso Brugnami.

This morning the 17-year-old gymnastics champion with two individual golds (floor exercise and vault) and a team silver in Stockholm, also beating the European competition in Rimini last April with three silvers and two golds, was awarded in the Council Chamber of Municipality of Ancona by the Deputy Mayor, as well as Councilor for Sport, Giovanni Zinni and by the Councilor for Policies Marco Battino Youth.
“The Municipal Administration is pleased to present recognition to the young athlete Tommaso Brugnami not only for his indisputable successes on the stage, – explains Deputy Mayor and Councilor Zinni – but also and above all to give credit to what represents in all respects the student-athlete model that should be taken as an example by the younger generations”.
Born in 2006, Brugnami attends the fourth year of the Leonardo Da Vinci Scientific High School in Jesi, where at the end of the last school year his average was 8.25. Scholastic result obtained hand in hand with an unparalleled sporting achievement: in April 2023, in fact, ‘Tommy’ won the title of second world champion in artistic gymnastics for the Junior category in Turkey (gold and absolute world champion in vault , team bronze, free body bronze and individual fourth overall).
