The signing of the agreement in the prefecture. Objective: to promote the integration of children with disabilities and asylum seekers from Asti reception centres

This morning, at the Government Palace in Asti, an agreement was signed between the Amateur Sports Association (ASD) Sport Italy and the CODEAL consortium, in the presence of the prefect Claudio Ventrice.

The agreement aims to promote social inclusion through sporting activities, involving both children with disabilities and those seeking international protection hosted in local reception centres.

The planned activities include football training sessions, gymnastics, team games and educational workshops, aimed at developing technical and relational skills. Football, in particular, will be the preferred means of encouraging interaction and building relationships of trust and mutual respect.

The CODEAL consortium, which manages numerous reception centers on behalf of the prefecture, is committed to promoting the participation of migrants in sporting activities, providing cultural mediators to facilitate communication and guaranteeing the necessary logistical support. Specific training will also be provided on the rules to be respected, to ensure that all sporting activities are carried out in complete safety.

It will be the task of ASD Sport Italy to make the sports facilities and qualified personnel available.

The management of the collaboration will be entrusted to a joint committee which will monitor the progress of the activities and draw up periodic reports on the results obtained, guaranteeing transparency and continuity in achieving the set objectives.

The agreement, lasting one year, was signed by Stefano Riccardo Radin, special prosecutor of CODEAL, and Federico Bifulco, president of ASD Sport Italy.

Prefect Ventrice expressed great satisfaction with the agreement, highlighting the new opportunities for growth and inclusion for all participants.
