Late yesterday afternoon, Rimini State Police personnel arrested an Italian citizen for the crime of attempted aggravated murder.
Around 8pm, two crews of the State Police squad intervened in an apartment near the center of Rimini, because the emergency number 118 had received a report that the son wanted to kill his father.
The police arrived on site and noticed a young boy with blood on his hands leaving the building. Sensing that he might have been the alleged perpetrator of the attack, he was immediately secured by the officers.
As soon as they went up to the house to understand what had happened, they saw a man on the ground with numerous wounds and in a state of shock, who reported that he had been hit several times by his son, first with crutches on his head and body and then try hitting him in the back with a pair of scissors and a fork.
The boy, a psychiatric patient being treated at the Mental Health Centre, was taken to the hospital to be visited by the psychiatrist and for the necessary treatment, while the father was transported to the “Bufalini” hospital in Cesena given the severity of the injuries reported.
Of the events that occurred, the young man was arrested for the crime of attempted murder and had been guarded until this morning, awaiting translation at the prison.
