BRINDISI – On Sunday 16 June the Muslim Community of Brindisi and its province, through the association “La Solidarietà”, is preparing to celebrate “Eid Al Adha”, the Feast of Sacrifice, the most important for Muslims. Organize a moment of collective prayer in the morning, in via Lanzilotti at the Palazzetto dello Sport, from 7. In the evening the entire citizenry of Brindisi is invited to share a dinner and a moment of interreligious dialogue in memory of Abraham, for the knowledge and peace, in Largo S. Domenico Da Guzman, at 6pm. The event is organized together with the African Community of Brindisi and the Aps province.
The city of Brindisi is recognized for its hospitality. The Adriatic capital is a symbolic place of meeting and dialogue, a crossroads of peoples and cultures, a bridge between East and West: here diversity not only coexists but represents a social and cultural heritage that must continue to be valorised. Peacebuilding and dialogue between religions represent necessary commitments to promote an authentically interreligious and supportive community, based on mutual knowledge and respect.
