Patronal Festivals Committee and Confcommercio together to enhance local traditions – MolfettaLive.it

Yesterday, Wednesday 12 June 2024, an important and, in some ways, “historic” agreement was signed between Confcommercio and the Patronal Festivals Committee of the city of Molfetta, aimed at enhancing and promoting the traditional patronal festivals in the area through a series of shared initiatives.

The agreement, in fact, provides for joint actions between the two bodies with the aim of enhancing traditions and the related cultural heritage, guaranteeing adequate visibility and tourist attraction. Furthermore, the agreement between Confcommercio and the Committee provides for greater involvement of local merchants, ensuring the latter greater commercial opportunities during holiday periods. Finally, an aspect not to be overlooked concerns sustainability and innovation: so-called “sustainable practices” will be promoted to reduce the environmental impact of the holidays.
The two protagonists of the signed agreement, satisfied with the agreement reached, expressed themselves as follows:
“We are enthusiastic about this agreement which represents a significant step for the promotion of our traditions and for the support of the local commercial fabric” – declared Mauro Panunzio, President of Confcommercio Molfetta – We will work together to ensure that the patron saint festivals of Molfetta become an event of national and international appeal”.
“This collaboration marks an important moment for our community – these are the words of Vincenzo Germinario, President of the Patronal Festivals Committee – The patronal festivals are a pillar of our cultural identity and, with the support of Confcommercio, we can bring them to a new level of prestige and participation”.
