Certificates and a gift card (worth €100) delivered to students of high schools in the city of Molfetta (Fornari High School, Itet Salvemini, Hotel Institute, Iiss Mons. Tonino Bello, Iiss Ferraris, Einstein High School, Iiss Vespucci and Osa Scientific High School ) who participated in the Environment and Future contest to tell the young people’s point of view on their ideal city. The reels that won during the day of celebration at Banchina Seminario last May 31st with real-time voting will be a concrete starting point for the work of the municipal administration. Caterina Roselli, councilor for the environment, invited the kids to “put into practice what they said in the reels with constant commitment to change things”. While councilor Vito Paparella, thanking the students for the work done, urged them to continue with their efforts to create the reels: “you will be a warning and an example for others, respecting the environment is not limited to respecting nature , but it concerns everyone’s heart.”

The winners of the Ambiente e futuro contest gathered at Palazzo di Città to reward the most voted reels, first on social media and then live, showing the different ideas for imagining the future. Two special plaques were also donated for the most participatory institutes which will be able to plant 20 fruit trees, thus giving Salvemini and Fornari the opportunity to restore their respective green spaces and be able to taste fruit picked directly from the gardens of their schools, a real step towards sustainability.
