TAP Air Portugal celebrated 20 years at Venice Airport

20 springs have passed since 2004the year in which TAP Air Portugal – the national airline of Portugal – launched connections between Lisbon, its main hub, and the city of Venice.

Today TAP continues to focus so much on the lagoon city, so much so that it offers 2 flights a day to and from Venice for a total of 14 weekly flights. The offer for summer 2024 is the same as the previous season, however there is one difference: the aircraft used are no longer the Embraer E190/E195 but the Airbus A320decidedly more spacious and comfortable.

Flights from Venice, as mentioned, are two per day: the departure of the first is scheduled for 11.40am, while the arrival is scheduled for 1.55pm (local time); the second flight, however, takes off from the lagoon at 7.10pm and arrives in the Portuguese capital at 9.25pm. On the opposite route, the first flight from Lisbon takes off at 06:50 and lands in Venice at 10:40; the second, however, takes off at 2.20pm and arrives at 6.20pm.

The many Italian (and not only) passengers will therefore have the opportunity to reach not only the capital of Portugal but also many others destinations offered by the TAP network; in addition to this, travelers on intercontinental routes will be able to take advantage of the Portugal Stopover by TAPrecently voted Global Traveler as the best stopover service.

To date, TAP flies to 4 Italian airports: Bologna, Florence, Milan, Naples, Rome and Venice.
