“Gender asymmetries in the tertiary sector in Parma”, a questionnaire to understand –

L’EBC Parma (Ente Bilaterale Commercio Parma), which brings together the trade unions FILCAMS CGIL, FISASCAT CISL, UILTUCS UIL And Ascom Confcommerciocommissioned a IRES Emilia Romagna (Institute of Economic and Social Research) one research aimed at investigate gender asymmetries and stereotypes in the tertiary sector in Parma. A sector where the weight of female employment is majority if not predominant.

Despite the large presence of women, a gender pay gap of around -29% continues to persist even in the tertiary sector (over 7 thousand euros gross less per year). But female employment in the tertiary sector experiences a double pay gap: in addition to the gender gap, the data highlights how the average pay in the tertiary sector in Parma is -22% less than the average pay for employed workers in the area (around 6 thousand euro less).

For these reasons a all workers in the tertiary sector they are invited to collaborate in the survey by filling out the questionnaire so that the research can reach a good level of participation and, therefore, success.

The questionnaire is anonymous, no sensitive data is required and the data will only be processed in an aggregate manner. The IP addresses accessing the survey are not recorded and therefore there is no way to identify the participants.
