FANO – With the imminent summer one of the most popular cultural events returns to Fano: the Symphony Pop Festival. The very rich program of sixth edition was illustrated at the Rocca Malatestiana in Fano by Ignazio PucciManager of the Culture Sector of the Municipality of Fano, together with Saul Salucci, President and Superintendent of the G. Rossini Symphony Orchestra, together with the representatives of the numerous organizations participating in the initiative, unveiled the billboard which, for the second year, is split between two evocative places in the city of Fano: the Malatesta Fortress And the former Church of San Francescowhere the presentation press conference was also held.

These two places will host i four appointments expected between the last week of June and the month of July: the former Church of San Francesco will host the chamber concerts, with smaller ensembles, while the Rocca Malatestiana will host the large symphonic ensemble: the professors of the G. Rossini Symphony Orchestra will always take to the stages, even as soloists, engaged in projects of national importance.

The season opens Sunday 23 June 9.15pm at the former Church of San Francesco il Dmitrij Triomade up of two OSR professors, Henry Domenico Durante (violin) e Francesco Alessandro De Felice (cello) and the pianist Michele Sampaolesi. The trio, winner of national and international competitions, regularly invited to perform at prestigious institutions and with an intense recording activity under their belt, will present a program dedicated to the two composers to whom Rossini dedicated as many cycles: Ludwig van Beethoven and Johannes Brahms . A surprise will complete the program: a world premiere Fantasia that combines the themes of the Symphony Pop Festival 2024, a trailer that opens the summer season.

The season continues Saturday 6 July 9.15pm at the Rocca Malatestiana col opera concert “Puccini and surroundings” dedicated to the composer of operas whose 100th anniversary of his death marks the 100th anniversary of his death in 2024: the Rossini Symphony Orchestra will accompany the voices of Giuseppe Infantinotenor, and Varduhi Khachatryan, soprano, in some of the most beloved pages of Lucca. He directs the young and established Maestro Corrado Valvo. The evening is in collaboration with the Tiberini Prize, created by Giosetta Guerra and dedicated to the famous tenor Mario Tiberini (1826-1880), born in San Lorenzo in Campo (PU). Guerra is a fellow citizen of the tenor, of whom she is the only biographer in the world: former teacher, opera, ballet and theater critic, her Mario Tiberini International Opera Prize has world-famous artists in its roll of honour.

The following Saturday, July 13th 9.15pm, Rossini will remain at the Rocca Malatestiana for a new crossover project with the voice of the Italian star Chiara Galiazzo, who will engage in a tribute to Italian songs, naturally including a selection of their own great hits. Stardust, Two Breaths, The Sky in a Room, If I’m here tonight, some of the songs on the program. On the podium Maestro Roberto Molinelli, who also took care of the arrangements for symphony orchestra.

Closes the season another crossover eventwhich combines baroque music with the sound of rock: BaRock is a project born from an idea of ​​Rossini’s two first violinists, Henry Domenico Durante and Francesco Pellegrini, who, accompanied by the string section of the orchestra and the OSR band, will try their hand at a “disguise” of Antonio Vivaldi as a pop star. The project debuts in the world premiere Tuesday 30 July 9.15pm at the former Church of San Francesco.
