The City Council recognizes the legitimacy of some off-balance sheet debts

The Siena City Council, in today’s session, Friday 14 June, approved the recognition of the legitimacy of some off-balance sheet debts. The act, presented by the budget councilor of the Municipality of Siena Riccardo Pagni, was approved with nineteen votes in favor, five against and four abstentions of the twenty-eight city councilors present.
“These are – explained Pagni – five sentences for which the Municipality is required to pay legal expenses and compensation. In particular, a sentence was issued by the Tuscany Regional Administrative Court and provides for 3,270.96 euros in court costs; the request for payment of 26,164.72 euros arrives from the Court of Siena (Labour section); the Justice of the Peace issued two sentences requiring a refund of a total of 580.34 euros; another ruling from the Court of Siena obliges the Municipality to pay 534.02 euros. The total amount is, therefore, 30,550.04 euros”.
Furthermore, in the 2024/2026 budget forecast there is the necessary availability to cover the debts covered by the resolution approved by the Council.
