His position seemed remote, at least less serious than that of his friend who, since the day of the events, has been detained in the Beccaria juvenile prison. Instead, it is currently news that Niccolò Battistoni – 19 years old from Como, who is under house arrest – will also be called to answer for attempted attempted murder, aggravated by frivolous motives. Prosecutor Simone Pizzotti closed the investigation into the bloody incident that occurred outside the Venus Club nightclub in the early hours of the morning on March 3. The prosecutor requested and obtained immediate judgment from the judge, and now the defense – with the lawyer Alessandro Giussani – will evaluate alternative rites. The hearing is set for November 12.
The investigations into the attempted murder in via Sant’Abbondio also concluded for the minor of Tunisian origin, 17 years old from Como and a friend of Battistoni, who had physically inflicted the stab wound on the side of a twenty-year-old who ended up in the intensive care unit of Sant’Anna in serious condition. The minor, assisted by the lawyer Andrea Marino Crepazzi, has already requested the summary, but the hearing has yet to be scheduled.
These are the developments of the double file opened (in Milan for the minor, and in Como for the adult) for the attack outside the nightclub which arose from a dispute (only verbal) inside the club. Two groups of young people come into conflict. The arrested minor, it was reconstructed in the investigation, had also warned a rival: “I’ll wait for you outside, I’ve sharpened the knife, I’ll cut your throat”. All over a very banal argument, which can be summarized in the dispute of “trivial reasons”, which arose due to a push on a girl.
However, the investigation also had an adult in the cell, as he had taken part in the argument without being armed. A role, his, apparently different from and less serious than that of his friend. Instead, the Prosecutor’s Office also confirmed for him the charge of attempted murder in complicity aggravated by frivolous motives.
According to the prosecution, Battistoni was aware of the fact that his friend was armed, also because the latter had boasted about it in the nightclub. Despite this, however, he had taken part in the argument outside the club, thus providing – again according to the prosecutor – support and help during the attack which took place “from behind” with people with whom previously “there had been arguments disagreements”. In short, according to the prosecutor, the adult would have accepted the fight despite knowing about his friend’s weapon.
Furthermore, the injured person, it must be remembered, was not even the boy with whom the argument had taken place inside the nightclub, but rather a friend who had intervened at a later time. All the people present at the street fight had been interviewed by the investigators. The knife was recovered by the police still stuck in the victim’s side. Furthermore, the entire scene was filmed by a man who was in the nearby car park on Via Sant’Abbondio.
