At the Corridoni school, the library dedicated to little Maria Luce

FANO – Last June 4th, at the S. Lazzaro Educational Club, the opening, in a renewed guise, of the school library located in the “Filippo Corridoni” primary school was celebrated.

A large, bright, accessible classroom enriched with numerous texts houses the new library which has been dedicated to Maria Luce Furlania special pupil who attended the school until her untimely death in December 2023.

The classmates and teachers who were lucky enough to know her and welcome her to school in recent years, together with her mother Natalina, immediately understood the extraordinary nature of her presence, albeit limited to a few moments of the school day.

Maria Luce LibraryMaria Luce taught those who knew her the possibility of communicating in many ways, especially to her classmates who welcomed her to school.

Dedicating the library to her was a way to forever link her memory to the experience of sharing, in the etymological sense of “offering something to others” by entrusting reading with the noblest value.

The “Maria Luce Furlani” school library presents itself as a space aimed at students and teachers of the school but also open to the outside world, offering texts ranging from readings for different age groups, to disciplinary insights, up to a dedicated section to the environment and foreign languages with CLIL methodology. Particular attention is paid to highly readable texts, making it a place for everyone and everyone.
