Enrico Brignano, on stage with I 7 re di Roma from 8 October. From Rome to Catania, all dates, tickets and costs

Next autumn Enrico Brignano returns to the theater with “The 7 kings of Rome” by Gigi Magni, music by Nicola Piovani. The Roman actor, 35 years after Gigi Proietti’s show, brings the show back to the stage, seeking a balance between tradition and modern times.

The tour will start on October 8th at the Sistina theater in Rome, then will touch Turin, Padua, Bologna, Bari, Naples, Milan, Florence and Catania. The seven kings at the origin of the foundation of Rome will follow one another, in a daring alternation of Brignano disguises, between songs, dances and more and less well-known events.

The tour

After the debut in the capital, the show will be staged in Turin (Alfieri Theater from 11 December), Padua (Gran Teatro Geox from 18 December), Bologna (Europaditorium from 9 January 2025), Bari (Teatro Team from 22 January), Naples (Teatro Augusteo from 30 January), Milan (Arcimboldi Theater from 19 February), Florence (Teatro Verdi from 6 March) e Catania (Metropolitan Theater from March 23).

Entertainment and actors

The actor presents this great classic again, seeking a balance between tradition and modern times, with an adaptation that respects the previous one but certainly more corresponds to today’s taste – and times (the adaptation to the text is edited by Manuela D’Angelo) . The legendary seven kings at the origin of the foundation of Rome will follow one another, in a daring alternation of Brignano disguises, between songs, dances and more and less well-known events, which can be traced back to the dawn of history. Between myth and reality, supported by Michele Gammino in the role of Janus, part God and part narrator, Brignano will take us back in time together with a young and brilliant company, to show that ultimately, no matter how times change, the nature of man always remains the same and, centuries later, what he pursues is still the ideal of freedom that makes a life worth living.

On stage, together with Brignano and Gammino, Pasquale Bertucci, Giovanna D’Angi, Ludovica Di Donato, Michele Marra, Simone Mori, Ilaria Nestovito, Andrea Perrozzi, Andrea Pirolli, Emanuela Rei and Elisabetta Tulli.

Sets by Mauro Calzavara, lighting design by Marco Lucarelli, costumes by Paolo Marcati, choreography by Thomas Signorelli, assistant director Pierluigi Iorio.

Tickets will be available at the following link from today Thursday 13 June from 2pm and in all authorized sales points from Tuesday 18 June from 11am.
