The third budget change launched this year by Palazzo Sisto will pass in tomorrow’s First Council Commission. This amounts to 3.2 million, half set aside and the other half used for various expenditure items.

The new expenses are possible thanks to the maneuver for 3,167,925 euros of free surplus of the budget closed on 31 December 2023 (of which 1.6 million set aside on a prudential basis) as well as further resources: a surplus of urbanization costs for approximately 417,000 euros plus 144.00 euros of mortgage surpluses.

The resources to be spent have been divided into various sectors. A part (635,224 euros) for maintenance work on municipal buildings, sports facilities and play areas; among these the maintenance of the elevated wooden walkway at the Fornaci, the Coni gym and the Pala Pagnini, the static certification of the Bacigalupo stands. This part of the expense also includes that for the design for the elimination of the causes of flooding of the part of the city that goes from Corso Mazzini to the sea.

Another tranche (382,000 euros) is intended for ordinary maintenance of municipal roads and public lighting. In this regard, Palazzo Sisto has created two new separate items, one dedicated to the maintenance of white water (33,000 euros) and one to the maintenance of street furniture.

Of the 412,900 euros for cultural, tourism, events and social initiatives and events, 100,000 euros go to expenses for Savona’s candidacy as Capital of Culture, 675,000 euros to the Social Promotion service for interventions relating to assistance to minors, the elderly, the disabled and for municipal participation in inclusion projects. Instead, 312,500 euros for the acquisition of the ATA share of the Sacred Heart car park through which the Municipality will be able to create new car parks serving the part of the city and partly for the Rari which with the new external pool no longer has the dirt part.

Palazzo Sisto will dedicate a total of 920,000 euros to the redevelopment of the city center streets, in particular Corso Italia.
