Cagliari, 13 June 2024 – The ninth edition of the “Sardinia Food Awards 2024″, the Oscars for Sardinian agri-food producers, was presented this morning in Cagliari, at the Banco di Sardegna Auditorium in viale Bonaria. An event of great importance which turns the spotlight on wine, oil, pasta, honey, carasau bread, cheeses, cured meats, craft beer, bottarga, sweets and preserved food from the island and projects it towards a horizon of promotion, rooted in tradition and driven by innovation. In addition to numerous qualified speakers representing some of the most renowned agri-food companies made in Sardinia, today’s meeting was attended by the councilor for agriculture and agro-pastoral reform, Gian Franco Satta. “Our agri-food production – underlined the representative of the Executive – are excellent products of recognized value and our producers are second to none on a national and international scale. We have peculiarities to be proud of. We can count on increasingly sustainable production and therefore – Satta specified – very competitive on the market and respectful of the environment. We also use production techniques that represent effective models and open up an innovative, functional way of producing that focuses firmly on quality.”

The ninth edition of the “Sardinia Food Awards 2024” – sponsored by the Agriculture Department of the Sardinia Region – offers companies in the agri-food sector of the island the opportunity to show their products at a local, national and international level, but it is also the opportunity to deal with other realities. A special jury made up of nationally and internationally renowned food and wine experts is called to judge the participating companies during the awards gala, which will take place on 6 July, at Ros’e Mari in Oristano.
