“The unanimous approval in the Regional Council of the changes to the law on the assignment of management of sports facilities is an important act for Tuscany. This is a law on which we have worked hard in correspondence with the Council and constitutes the other side of the fundamental commitment that the Tuscan Council has for sport, which has brought more than 60 million in four tenders in recent years to the policies of maintenance, enhancement and construction of different types of structures by the Region, an absolute record in terms of quality and quantity, enhancing the fields and gyms of at least 180 of the 273 Tuscan municipalities. The sports facilities receive a lot of attention from the regional council. The law that regulates the assignment, avoiding the attribution on the basis of the minimum discount but attributing the management on the basis of quality assessments that take into account the historicity of the plant, the qualification of the technicians and instructors, the elements of identity with which the same facilities enhance social activity in their respective cities or towns, can give a great boost to the growth of sport in Tuscany”.
This was stated by the president of the Tuscany Region, Eugenio Gianiin commenting on the unanimous approval by the Regional Council of the unified text of the law which reformulates the local implementing regulation for the assignment of the management of sports facilities.
