Carlo Conti He’s already working on the next one Sanremo Festival and talked about the innovations that we will find in 2025. The host, who will be the artistic director of the next two editions of the festival, wanted to reveal some small changes, which take into account the work done by his predecessor so far: “It would be absurd to want to change something that works very well and therefore it would be absurd to redo all the work done by Amadeus”he specified.
Among the new features we find the reduction of the songs in competition and the duration of the individual evenings, already thinking about the return of the After Festival. In addition to this, Carlo Conti wants to restore the division between New Proposals And Bigleaving the two categories separate during the race: “I report the division between New Proposals and Bigs: the New Proposals will not increase the number of Bigs, but they will have their race and the Bigs will run their race. The winner of the New Proposals will probably be proclaimed on the cover evening”. Furthermore there will be no eliminations: “There will be no eliminations, it would be anachronistic. The world of music has changed and the choice must be a responsible one, because maybe you discard a song which will then be a hit”.
For Conti, music will be the true fulcrum of the event: “I have always felt a great responsibility: my wife tells me that in my previous Festivals I woke up at night, assailed by doubts about a piece that I had perhaps discarded. The core of the festival is the songs, the competing singers, the rest is a side dish.”. And he added: “I realized at my last festival that something was changing, after the podium formed by Francesco Gabbani, Fiorella Mannoia and Ermal Meta, two artists who the year before were in Nuove Proposte and a great music icon: I realized it when in the following weeks the most important news became the record number of views of Occidentali’s Karma, the winning song”.
And among the many new features there could also be the absence of guests, which could be reduced to the bare bones compared to previous editions: “Maybe the Festival will live on such a musical strength that it won’t be necessary to have them”. For now the only certainty is that they will be missed Giorgio Panariello And Leonardo Pieraccionithe Tuscan host excluded their presence because “It would be too banal!”.
But Carlo Conti knows who he would like as a guest on the Ariston stage: Vasco Rossi! During the interview the host launched an appeal to the rocker from Zocca, who is currently busy with concerts in Milan on his tour: “It would be fantastic to start with Albachiara sung by Vasco Rossi. Vasco, think about it: I don’t want it, Italy wants it!”.
