Sicilian diabetes days: appointments also in Ragusa

The Sicilian Diabetes Days, now in their fifth edition, will be held on 14 and 15 June at the Poggio del Sole Resort in Ragusa. This event, organized by Dr. Raffaele Schembari, director of the Complex Operational Unit of Internal Medicine and Diabetology of the Giovanni Paolo II Hospital in Ragusa and scientific director of the initiative, represents an important opportunity for discussion and updating for professionals in the field of metabolic diseases, diabetes and obesity .

This year’s edition is enriched with a session dedicated to the diagnosis and therapy of “Diabetes mellitus in Internal Medicine”, reflecting the growing importance of an integrated approach in the management of these complex pathologies. The over 150 registrations received testify to the interest and commitment of professionals towards these crucial issues.

The Dr. Raffaele Schembari underlined how the Sicilian Diabetological Days have become a consolidated tradition and how the event has grown exponentially over the years. Schembari highlighted the importance of continuous updating and discussion between specialists to offer an efficient service to patients, who need not only scientific skills but also psychological support to face illnesses with a positive spirit.

The CME (Continuing Medical Education) event is aimed at a wide range of healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, biologists, dieticians, psychologists and pharmacists. Supporting this initiative are various institutions and associations, including the Sicilian Region, the Free Municipal Consortium of Ragusa, the Municipality of Ragusa, the ASP of Ragusa, the Order of Surgeons and Dentists of the Province of Ragusa, OPIRAGUSA, the Order of Pharmacists of the Province of Ragusa, the Order of Biologists – Sicily regional delegation, FADOI, AME, Association of Diabetologists, SIMDO, ENDOCLUB SICAL, Federfarma Ragusa, FEDERSANITA, the Diocese of Ragusa and the Office for the Pastoral Care of Health.

The Sicilian Diabetes Days are therefore confirmed as a key event for the improvement of clinical practice and the promotion of public health in the management of metabolic diseases.
