In recent days the soldiers of the Ispica station have reported for aggravated personal injury and illegal possession of objects capable of offending a 20-year-old from Modica, domiciled in the city of Ispica, single, gardener by profession, convicted and given oral warning. The referral is the result of a request for intervention, received at the operations center of the Carabinieri Company of Modica, following the wounding to the left arm of a young man, also 20 years old, from Ispicia, single, unemployed, known to the operators for his previous of police.
The military, promptly arriving on site, having acquired the first essential information to reconstruct the dynamics of the event, went to the home of the alleged attacker, where they ascertained his absence. The police activity extended to the surrounding areas and the places he frequented, so much so that after about thirty minutes he was tracked down and taken to the offices of the competent station. Furthermore, the soldiers went to the hospital in Modica, where the injured young man was receiving the necessary treatment and presented him with a specific photographic file, thanks to which the victim unequivocally recognized the perpetrator of the criminal act. The physical assault caused him injuries that were judged to be healable within a month, as well as hospitalization. The perpetrator of the gesture was reported to the Public Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of Ragusa. The sidearm, a butcher’s cleaver, was recovered and seized.
