Alberto Angelini, it is Savonese sportsman of 2023. Savonese, coach of Rari Nantes Savona and technical commissioner of the national youth water polo team, will be awarded on Monday 17 June at 5pm in the Sala Rossa of the municipality of Savona. Angelini was awarded this important recognition thanks to the constant work carried out over the years in favor of water polo, first as an athlete and now as a coach. Angelini will be included in the roll of honor of the event conceived and established by the late journalist of Riviera Notte, Il Secolo XIX and La Stampa, Nanni De Marco and revived since 2017 by the delegate of Coni Point Savona Roberto Pizzorno with the coordination of the Meritorious Sports Associations of CONI (Azzurri d’Italia, Unione Veterani dello Sport “Rinaldo Roggero” section, ANSMes, Unasci, Special Olimpic and Panathlon Club Savona “Carlo Zanelli”). In addition to Angelini the prize will be awarded Sports Promoter of the Year which will go to Luciano Costa, tireless organizer of athletics events, President of Asd RunRivieraRun, president of the Liguria Running and Walking Consortium. While Davide Ottolia, president of Atletica Savona, son of the unforgettable Giulioto whom the multi-sports facility of La Fontanassa is dedicated, whose company organizes the International Meeting of the city of Savona, will be recognized as Sports Manager of the Year.
Other prizes were awarded. Sport is my life will be delivered to Dario Erminea historical figure of rugby and Savona who this year celebrates 40 years since its foundation, while Felicino Vanillaformer selector of the FIGC Youth Representatives of the Provincial Committee of Savona and technical commissioner of the Rinaldo Roggero Sports Veterans team of Savona, which won the National Championship Unvs in Savona, and the Libertas National Football Championship for 11 and 7 players in Rimini, the prize will go Technician of the Year.
The prize Blue Hope will be delivered to Athena Magliolo14 years old, bearer of MoFuoringiro Savona, while Sport-Inclusione will go to Vladislav Zentsev of Asd Luigi Sicco Judo,. Special prize for Federico Ciuti, field hockey referee who made his debut in Serie A.
In scope of Lo Sportivo Savonesewhich avails itself of the patronage of Coni Point Savona and the municipality of Savona, will be delivered, again for 2023, the Lelio Speranza National Award awarded to Marco Mura, already Sportivo Savonese of 2020, deus machina and organizational director of the Meeting city of Savona – Memorial Giulio Ottolia. Mura, Knight of the Republic for sporting merits, managed, thanks to his constant work, to bring to Fontanassa the best athletes in the world who broke important records on the blue track.
An important recognition will also go to Enzo Grenno, former president of Savona Calcio who won the Italian Cup at the helm of the biancoblù on 23 June 1991, deus machina of the Savona Half Marathon the race of the Popes, and organizer of the Ligurian stages of the men’s and women’s cycling Giro d’Italia, Gold Star for Sports Merit. Grenno will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award 2023 for the constant commitment in favor of sport over forty years. The international dance judge was also awarded Edo Pampuro, the Savonese Gymnastics Brotherhoodfor the promotion in the A2 series of Gymnastics and the Karate Club Savona for the prestigious results obtained by its athletes at international level.
