LATINA – For yesterday, 12 June, Acqualatina carried out important works in the Municipality of Aprilia, already planned and communicated in the previous days, which required the interruption of the water flow throughout the entire municipal territory, in order to be able to operate safely. The completion of the works, initially scheduled for 10.00 pm, was postponed to the early hours of this morning (13 June), with normalization of the flow expected everywhere in the late morning. The two extensions were caused by unforeseeable technical incidents that emerged during the welding activities of a new pipeline located below the Carano power plant.
These were urgent and non-postponable extraordinary maintenance works within the Carano power plant.
The leak created was, in fact, progressively flooding the power plant and, if no action had been taken, much more serious damage would have been found which would have significantly compromised the safety of the plant and the service.
The technical team, made up of around 10 professionals, started the work yesterday afternoon and worked throughout the night, without stopping, in order to complete the work in the shortest time possible.
Thanks to these activities, the Carano power plant can now benefit from a new pipeline and an optimal flow rate.
Acqualatina made three tankers available to citizens and provided constant updates, through the Emergency Response Unit, with timely SMS to users, emails and certified e-mails to the media and institutions and publication of the information on the company website.
