Maxi drug seizure in the province of Como: the carabinieri seized 43 kilograms of marijuana. The drugs had been hidden in a warehouse between boxes of pasta and divided into 1 kilo vacuum-packed packs and 111 grams of hashish divided into two blocks. Investigations by the military are underway to trace the criminal organization that was about to market the narcotic for a value of approximately 260 thousand euros.

During enforcement checks at the Carabinieri shop of the Cantù Company and the “Cacciatori Carabinieri Squadrons”, near Via Pertini in Alzate Brianza, the soldiers of the Lurago d’Erba Carabinieri Station checked a 21-year-old. The young man’s behavior made them suspicious. The military decided to search the 21-year-old’s home where they found 12 grams of hashish and 58 grams of marijuana. At the end of the investigations, the boy was reported to the Judicial Authority for possession of drugs for the purpose of dealing.

Finally – in the last few hours – following a report from some citizens, the Carabinieri in collaboration with the Carabinieri Cacciatori Calabria Squadron, and with the helicopter of the 2nd NEC (Carabinieri Helicopter Unit) of Orio al Serio, checked a vast wooded area in the Municipality of Fino Mornasco, near via Marconi – Frazione Socco – Località “Mondello”, where they found a 39 year old – already known to the police – while together with two other “drug dealers”, they were selling narcotics to a buyer. The man was searched and found in possession of 0.8 grams of cocaine and 0.4 grams of heroin and was reported to be at liberty for complicity in drug dealing. A 50-year-old man, also already known to the police, was also checked – found in possession of 1.6 grams of heroin and reported to the Prefectural Authority.
