Crotone – Sport, inclusion and well-being in Sector B

Crotone – Proximity Spaces” organize a sporting event to promote inclusion and well-being.

The event will be held Monday 17 June from 6pm to 9pm in Sector B, located in via Gioacchino da Fiore (in front of Marrelli Hospital). Various ASDs will be present including football, volleyball, sitting volleyball, handball, basketball, soft American football, chess, roller skating, karate, wrestling, padel, horse riding and sport fishing.

The Vision of the initiative is that of “Strengthening relationships in the territory is fundamental to planning and structuring effective interventions that respond to the needs of the territory itself”, as declared by Fabio RiganelloCoordinator of the Project who continues: “The event linked to the “Proximity Spaces” Project was born precisely from this desire, that is to involve teenagers and their families in an experience of sport, music, culture, nature, and much more other, in the name of inclusion, the valorization of diversity and the return to living in the territory.

The objective of the event is to raise awareness of sport as an educational tool for young people, through which we aim to produce well-being for health, cognitive growth, teamwork, inclusion and respect for different cultures.

Practicing sports offers numerous benefits, including: Improved physical health, Increased mental well-being, Development of social skills, Increased self-esteem

In addition to sporting activities, the event also includes one space dedicated to food with the presence of an expert nutritionist who will offer advice on how to follow a healthy and balanced diet and a healthy breakfast will be offered to participants.
