Innotech of Salerno, Carmen Lazzarini speaks

YOUNG HARDWARE STORE | The column dedicated to the younger generations in hardware stores continues. In this issue of Ferrutensil we met Carmen Lazzarini, the third generation of Innotech, an established company from Salerno.

Carmen LazzarinShe is 32 years old, has a degree in Economics and Management and since 2022 has been the administrator of Innotech, a Campania company established in the distribution of equipment for mechanical workshops. In September 2023, the company inaugurated its first store for the sale of hardware products, paints, wood lines, electricity, gardening equipment for private individuals, DIY enthusiasts and for industries and artisans in general.

As Carmen herself tells us: “I have been in the company since 2015 and have been the administrator of Innotech since 2022. I am also a mother of two young children and therefore, between family and work, I don’t have much time to cultivate my passions. In the past, I really enjoyed traveling with my husband and this remains one of my passions, even if my time has been reduced now. I dedicate most of my free time to it to my children who have in fact become my passion; When I come home from work, my desire is to dedicate myself to them, like I imagine all mothers do.”

The Lazzarini family boasts fifty years of experience in the sale of equipment for mechanical workshops, tire shops, inspection centers and industries. To respond to the needs of the market, the members have decided to expand the range of products offered and to no longer turn only to car repairers and industries, but to all craftsmen.

“Innotech was born as a company specialized in B2B sales through sales agents of workshop equipment and overhaul centers throughout Campania – continues Carmen Lazzarini – and for years this has been our core business. From 2022, interpreting the needs of the market and taking advantage of the void that existed in our area, we decided to expand the range of products offered by adding hardware, paints, wood lines, electricity, gardening equipment and to address not only workshops, but also to private DIY enthusiasts, industries and artisans in general, alongside B2B sales to the B2C one. Today we offer over 100 thousand references and we have a 500 square meter store in Salerno with many products ready for delivery and many others which, even if they are not available, can be ordered and delivered quickly. Finally, we are part of the Techno Trade industrial distribution group and we offer the complete Ttake catalogue, an enormous range of goods and references”.

What does the family business represent for you?

Carmen Lazzarini – For me the company is family. I live and behave like a mother of a family, therefore always acting in the interests of the company for the good of those who work there. We have 6 collaborators, 6 agents covering the area and some external technicians.

Our task is not only to work in the company, make it grow and achieve its objectives, but also to guarantee corporate well-being and peace of mind for everyone, owners, collaborators and families. The objective is to convey serenity because this aspect in the work environment is fundamental and often overlooked.

When and why do you decide to enter the hardware store?

Carmen Lazzarini – I remember that at the age of 16 I spent the summer in the company working with my father and I liked it a lot; then as I grew up I started to cultivate other dreams thinking of becoming a policeman. However, my father’s request to start working seriously in the company made me rediscover the beauty of this path and so I understood that this is my path. The passion for this profession, deep down, already runs through my veins in the 70s my grandfather began this work and carried it forward from my father and now I am the third generation, a partner together with my sister who however does not work there.
