There is now a certainty for the 2024-25 season of the Pisa Sporting Club. The new coach will in fact be Pippo Inzaghi. After having accepted the latest offer from the Nerazzurri club (there is talk of a possible two-year contract with the option of renewal) the coach, former Reggina and Milan, had immediately blocked his home in Barbaricina and now, for the signature and presentation, he is only waiting the name of the new sporting director. The club, as happened with Aquilani last year, but for different reasons, will facilitate its coach who, in these weeks, will be able to think about his wedding, and then be presented to the city in early July. In the meantime, there is still a question of the resolution of the former Fiorentina Primavera coach who in these hours could move to Reggiana for a year plus option, while Catanzaro is also following him very closely for the post Vivarini, but the Giallorossi club is grappling with a total revolution, given that the general manager will also change.
Meanwhile, yesterday Stefano Stefanelli officially terminated his contract with the Nerazzurri club after leaving the city. In fact, at the end of June Stefanelli will start working for Juventus as Cristiano Giuntoli’s right-hand man. To replace the coach, however, the situation is not so simple for the Nerazzurri team. Pisa had tightened the circle by choosing Renzo Castagnini as director. Sharing the project and also trying to re-propose the couple who, in 2016, did so much good in Lombardy. However, something has gone wrong and president Massimo Cellino is doing everything he can to keep his director in Brescia. The need for Pisa arose because Castagnini needed, due to personal problems, to get closer to Tuscany in his Reggello (in the province of Florence). Cellino however, as Bresciaingol reveals “has no intention of looking for a new sporting director and is ready to help his manager, meeting him with a task – if possible – lighter to allow him to return home less rarely than what happened in last year”.
If the Castagnini deal doesn’t go through, Pisa would then turn to Giovanni Rossi, ex Sassuolo, or Mattia Baldini, ex Sampdoria. Not on Giuseppe Magalini, now about to sign with Bari, unless there are other twists. Finally, for the eighth consecutive year, Adidas will be the technical sponsor of the Pisa Sporting Club. The German giant’s brand will again appear on the Nerazzurri team’s shirts. In fact, at least for another year, the uniforms will still have this now traditional signature, for a partnership that has been going on since 2017-18. Over the next few weeks the company will organize, as has happened in the past, a specific event to present the three official shirts for the 2024-25 season. On the Bormio retreat, however, Pisa will leave between the 13th and 15th of July.
