Saint Anthony of Padua, the program of the celebrations – RuvoLive.it

Today the Church remembers Sant’Antonio da Padova who, with San Rocco and San Cleto, is also the minor patron saint of Ruvo di Puglia.

The program of celebrations in honor of the Saint, organized by the parish of San Michele Arcangelo, is particularly rich.

Holy Masses at 8, 9, 10.30, 12. At 9, traveling performance by the Small Stretch Band.

The 10.30 mass will be presided over by Don Raffaele Tatulli, vicar general. At the end of each celebration, as per tradition, St. Anthony’s sandwiches will be blessed and distributed. At 6pm procession of the simulacrum in the following streets: via San Francesco d’Assisi; via Nazario Sauro, via Ten. Col. Fiore, via Pio XII, via Imbriani, via C. Rosselli, corso G. Jatta, corso Piave, return. The procession will be accompanied by the “Basilio Giandonato” band concert, directed by maestro Rocco Di Rella.

At 8pm, solemn Eucharistic celebration, presided over by Bishop Domenico Cornacchia, and animated by the polyphonic choir “Michele Cantatore”. At 10pm, fireworks.
