CUORGNE’ – Pecora flees into the street, saved by two citizens. The famous philosopher, Immanuel Kant, said you can already know the heart of a man by the way he treats animals. The hearts of the Canavesans, Daniela and Fabio, are golden. The two young people from Cuorgnè, today, Wednesday 12 June 2024, rescued a sheep that was wandering scared and disoriented in via Torino at the entrance to Cuorgnè.

Luckily, “Daniel”, as the animal was pleasantly renamed, was not hit by passing cars. Daniela, with the help of her husband Fabio, patiently managed to get the sheep into the courtyard of a building not far from the city station. As soon as the sheep, a medium-sized male specimen, calmed down a little, the woman took the opportunity to tie it safely with a riding halter. The two people from Cuorgnate, together with other residents, took care of the animal by giving it water and food and then immediately called the municipal police.

Soon, the commander, Linuccia Amore, and two officers arrived in via Torino, starting the search process for the owner of the little animal. A veterinarian from ASL To4 also intervened on site and examined the animal, which had a noticeable red mark on its back. Unfortunately, the owner’s tracking via CIP did not give the desired results. The sheep was therefore entrusted to a local farmer who took her into custody and will look after her while waiting to complete all the necessary investigations to trace her “family”.
