ROSE GARDEN. The dream of promotion to Serie A2 for Roseto Basket fades away. The leap from Serie B was made by Livorno who managed to beat PalaMaggetti 74-81 in front of 4,500 Abruzzo fans and around 500 Tuscans in the last (fifth) match of the play-offs.

Yet Roseto started well in the first quarter, only to be caught in the second and overtaken in the third. The home team were no longer able to recover, going 13 points down and the blow of pride was of no avail which in fact only managed to limit the damage. In the final Roseto was unable to make an impact. And Livorno conquers the “beautiful” and goes straight to Serie A2.
A great opportunity wasted for the people of Teramo. A feat for the Tuscans thanks to a match of heart and character.
