POGGIARDO – Fraud with “Superbonus 110”: huge seizure in Salento for 67 million euros, twelve people under investigation: among these accountants, architects and engineers. For one of them, the legal representative of the company under investigation, a disqualification measure was also ordered: Fabio Cursano, 52 years old from Poggiardo, will not be able to negotiate with the public administration, nor carry out professional and entrepreneurial activities for a year.
The investigation started from the financial police of the Maglie company, into a round of alleged fraud with building bonuses. The first phase of the investigation, coordinated by the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Lecce, saw a preventive seizure decree issued by the investigating judge of the Court of Lecce in respect of assets and liquidity for staggering figures. Those bonuses, according to the accusation, were received unduly for work that was never carried out or only partially completed. Real estate renovations in over 500 construction sites in Salento, for which the qualified and now investigated professionals would have certified the final state of the interventions.
In all, the yellow flames discovered over one thousand and 200 invoices issued and accounted for building interventions that were never carried out and inserted on the Revenue Agency portal in order to generate tax credits. The seizure was carried out in banks and post offices, for an amount equal to 25 million euros and then in the “tax drawer” of the company under investigation for another 42 million euros. The alleged crimes committed against the twelve suspects are those of undue receipt of public funds, ideological falsity in certificates committed by people carrying out a service of public necessity and issuing invoices for non-existent operations.
