Grand Départ Tour de France 2024
From Saturday 29 June to Monday 1 July Emilia-Romagna hosts the start of the most followed cycling event in the world: the Tour de France. The Grand Depart in fact, it will set off for the first time from Italy, in particular from the city of Florence, and will cross Emilia-Romagna for 3 stages, before crossing into French territory.

The 4 cities of the Emilia-Romagna stage (Rimini, Cesenatico, Bologna and Piacenza) have been buzzing for weeks for the arrival of this great event and the streets can already feel the air of celebration.

Good Bike! Festival
When: from Friday 14th to Sunday 16th June
Where: Piazza Andrea Costa, Cesenatico
Music, good food and cycling culture for a great party in honor of the Cesenatico-Bologna stage of the Tour de France. The program includes conferences, book presentations, stories of champions, interventions by authors and cyclists of yesterday and today.

Faenza, Faïence, bicycles towards the Tour de France

Where: Palazzo del Podestà, Faenza
The Palazzo del Podestà in Faenza hosts an exhibition dedicated to the world of regional cycling: on display not only are the bicycles on which the champions of our territory rode, but also the jerseys they wore, photos of the time and much other unpublished material .

A Bike4Rights ride along the Bolognese cycle paths to the Galliera Cinema Theater, where the documentary Afghan Cycles by Sarah Menzies will be screened.

the Alliance Française of Bologna, on the initiative of the French Embassy in Italy, is offering an exhibition of some emblematic photos of the history of Italian cyclists at the Tour de France.

The sports journalist Beppe Conti will present his book “Il Giallo del Tour” which recounts the triumphs and tragedies, historical exploits, behind the scenes, mysteries and misdeeds of the legendary protagonists of the Tour de France.

Videomapping in San Leo
When: from 19 to 29 June
Where: San Leo (RN)
In the 10 days preceding the arrival of the Grand Départ, the scenic Fortress of San Leo will be the subject of scenographic themed lighting, while on the wall of the keep of the Fortress which overlooks the second Piazza d’Armi, a video mapping dedicated to the Tour will be projected of France.
The Yellow Night
When: Friday 21 June
Where: Piazza Andrea Costa, Cesenatico
An evening to celebrate the Grand Départ Tour de France 2024 but also the historic achievement of the Pirate Pantani, with the double victory at the Giro d’Italia and the Tour de France 1998. The program includes shows and the participation of many guests from the world of sport , in the shadow of the skyscraper lit up yellow for the occasion.
