New Head of Delegation for the FAI of Terni: from June the role passes to Emiliano Proietti

From the beginning of June Emiliano Proietti took over from Raffaele de Lutio as Head of the FAI Delegation – Italian Environmental Fund of Terni. Born in 1982, engineer, for many years involved in volunteering and from 2021 also with the Terni delegation of the Foundation, Proietti takes up the baton of Raffaele de Lutio, Ambassador to Addis Ababa, Luxembourg and with an international career full of important positions behind him , who led the Delegation from June 2019 until a few days ago, and who has held the role of FAI Umbria Regional President since January 2023.

Just over a year after my appointment as President of FAI Umbria” he declares Raphael de Lutio,”I leave the leadership of the FAI Delegation of Terni to Emiliano Proietti. Best of luck to him and all the volunteers! A special thought to all the members who ensured the operation of the Delegation and a big thank you to the local administrations and religious authorities, who made their assets available with great generosity for the FAI Days! Best wishes to FAI!

A position full of commitment and responsibility” he asserts Emiliano Projects, which continues: “I welcome this new and stimulating opportunity with great enthusiasm. With the group of volunteers, on whom I have a lot of confidence, we will continue to do well in the interest of the FAI’s values. A series of summer events await us, which we will reveal shortly, before diving into the preparation of the next Autumn Days. Finally, I would like to thank those who preceded me and the regional and national leaders of the Foundation, who placed their trust in me.”

The FAI – Italian Environmental Fund ETS is a non-profit foundation founded in 1975, on the model of the National Trust, with the aim of protecting and enhancing the Italian historical, artistic and landscape heritage. The Foundation’s main activity is to take care of the special places received as a donation, as an inheritance or under management: woods and coasts, parks and gardens, castles and historic homes, villas and abbeys, but also small assets with a high identity value . FAI’s desire is for these places to be increasingly active as levers in the cultural, social and economic contexts in which they are inserted, real centers of relationships, communities which, thanks to the widespread and structured presence of volunteers, seek continuous dialogue with the territory. An increasingly close relationship between places and people, possible also thanks to the widespread presence of volunteer delegations throughout the national territory.

The FAI in Terniinitially led by architect Silvia Giani, has been present for almost 20 years and boasts an important past, linked to multiple national and local initiatives, which have received great appreciation from the public and citizens. The team of volunteers has grown numerically over time and has always been animated by a strong civic sense, passion and the firm belief that there is a moral obligation to protect and enhance the history and artistic and natural heritage of our country .
