(Adnkronos) – A ‘poor man’s dinner’, debates, meetings and a final procession that will pass through the streets of Fasano. The No G7 Coordination is ready for the three days in which the heads of state and government will meet in Borgo Egnazia to take the protest to the streets. On the occasion of the inaugural dinner in Brindisi in the Swabian castle on Thursday 13 June, the “Dinner of the poor” will be held in Piazza Vittoria starting from 6 pm “against those who starve the world with wars and climate change” with the interventions of the “Table of NoG7 coordination” which brings together associations, movements, grassroots unions and citizens. A protest dinner based on frize and couscous and pizzica which will be preceded in the morning by a discussion in the provincial library on the topic of climate change. Debates that will also continue on June 14th at Masseria Refrigerio, near Costa Merlata, with an entire day dedicated to wars, rearmament, migration and the environment and on the morning of the 15th on the theme of great works. Three days that will end on Saturday 15th with the procession in Fasano with an appointment at 3 pm in Piazza Palmina Martinelli, on a route that will wind for 3 km. “We want, as they said in the 70s, a peaceful and mass procession, made up of popular participation”, underlines Roberto ‘Bobo’ Aprile, one of the promoters of the ‘No G7’ coordination table, to Adnkronos. April has taken part in past summits, from Naples to Genoa to L’Aquila, “and now they’re doing it at home”, he jokes. “We want families in the square. Fear must not prevail, we must be there and in many of us, to show that Puglia reacts to these presences which are not of peace but of war. We expect arrivals above all from Puglia itself, from the neighboring regions with delegations also from the Center and the North. People must not be afraid of taking to the streets,” concludes Aprile. —[email protected] (Web Info)
