The Sicilian driver Samuele Cassibba will face from Friday to Sunday (June 14-16) for the first time Trento Bondoneon Nova Proto V8 2000 powered by a Synergy engine: the historic competition, organized by the Scuderia Trentina, now in its 73rd edition, isalida as the third round of the Italian Superclimb Championship, the new tricolor series which includes 7 of the most prestigious Italian hill climbs. The young man from Comisa will be at the start among the 2000 sportscars, a category which currently sees him leading the championship. The race will take place on a 17.3 kilometer long track, with an average gradient of 8.88%, and 40 hairpin bends.
You can’t go wrong
“There is great emotion in taking part in such a prestigious race – said Cassibba – it’s really fascinating. A competition that takes place in a single round, brings with it several pitfalls, a concentration of curves, extensions and hairpin bends, where evidently you cannot make mistakes and remain dry of points. It will be particularly important to memorize the route as much as possible in the pre-race. The two reconnaissances will be fundamental to adapt the setup to this particular road surface, where weather conditions can have a significant impact. Starting as leader of the class of 2000 comforts me because it allows me to face the race which is rightly defined as ‘the University of Climbs’ with maximum motivation, because in any case it will represent growth for me and a testing ground for the car”.
The program
The Trento Bondone weekend will begin on Friday with the technical and sporting checks, while The two timed practice sessions will be held on Saturdaystarting at 9 am, and on Sunday the race will start at 10 amin live streaming and live on ACI Sport TV (228 Sky).
