CIVITAVECCHIA – «In light of the results of the first round, we thank the candidate for mayor, Paolo Poletti, for having embraced our project for Civitavecchia, making himself available immediately, and for having carried out an important electoral campaign in recent weeks. We narrowly missed the goal of getting through the first round, despite achieving an excellent result.”
Forza Italia’s Civitavecchia coordinator, Roberto D’Ottavio, wrote this in a note. «We thank the citizens for having rewarded the two Forza Italia lists which achieved an exceptional 14% of the votes – he added – the result obtained in the Civitavecchia local elections, combined with that recorded in the European elections, requires us to make some logical reflections. Aware of the responsibility we have today in choosing the future mayor of the city, becoming decisive with our votes, we have evaluated what could be the best choice to make at the ballot in the exclusive interest of our citizens. We are available, for the good of Civitavecchia – concluded D’Ottavio – to sign a clear agreement, in broad daylight, to govern the city well in the next five years. We will make our choice official by Friday.”
