Inconveniences which, in recent times, have intensified due to the lengthening of waiting lists, the disposal of which risks taking biblical times.
The problems mainly concern users who need, after a positive Pap test, further diagnostic investigations such as Colposcopy and Biopsy.
From the reports received by the TDM it appears that, for approximately three years, the doctor accredited for screening Colposcopy, now retired, was, for two years in a row, recalled to service through the Milleprogoghe decree.
This procedure has been interrupted since the beginning of 2024, with the assignment of the task to an internal doctor accredited for the Colposcopic examination.
Unfortunately, due to serious health problems, the doctor in charge had to interrupt her services from April 2024, leaving an indispensable activity for the prevention of female pathologies uncovered.
From that moment on, the tests mentioned above are suspended while waiting for a doctor accredited for this service, with a consequent lengthening of the times for carrying out diagnostic investigations.
Given the extremely serious nature of the pathologies which, in case of positivity, require timely diagnostic investigations and the consequent activation of the therapeutic path, it is inconceivable that the staff has not been adjusted even by resorting to fixed-term positions as occurred previously with the retired figure recalled to service with the Milleproroghe Decree.
