Excellent success of the third Franco Di Reda memorial in Bisceglie

The Memorial “Franco Di Reda”, now in its third editionthis year too has raised a significant amount to donate to the children of ContextLab, the association chaired by Raffaella Caifasso committed to the care of children suffering from autism spectrum problems. The organization entrusted to the newly formed football club FCD Atletico Bisceglie, chaired by Sandro Parisi and coached by Umberto Di Liddo, proved to be worthy of the objective. In the Memorial, held over two days at the Francesco Di Liddo municipal sports field in Bisceglie, three years after his death, the late mister Franco Di Redafor everyone “u americans”, with the presence of his family and a friend like Vito Giusto, a truly exquisite person, former Bisceglie player, born in 1950, who took to the field on Saturday with the Atletico Bisceglie shirt together with Angelo Di Reda, the coach’s son, in the occasion captain of the Bisceglie team. During the awards ceremony on Sunday, however, the mayor Angelantonio Angarano was present with the councilors Maurizio Di Pinto and Onofrio Musco.

The tournament saw four teams take to the field, namely FCD Atletico Bisceglie, Team Potenza, Sporting Monopoli and Football Academy Andria. On the afternoon of Saturday 8 June, Atletico Bisceglie won the group with 6 points, the result of two victories like Andria and Monopoli, thanks to the greater number of goals scored. In the semi-finals on Sunday morning, however, Team Potenza prevailed on penalties against Atletico Bisceglie and Football Academy Andria against Sporting Monopoli, curiously with the same result of 5-4 after both matches had ended 1-1. In the final the Football Academy Andria on Team Potenza, with a result of 2-1. The Andria team therefore won the tournament, the real victory however remains that on the solidarity front, a goal achieved thanks, above all, to the sponsors who financed the tournament, to the personal contributions of members and members of FCD Atletico Bisceglie and to the contribution of the hosted teams. For the success of the tournament we also thank the two referees Piero Lamia Caputo and Domenico Ferrante and the course manager Leo Pizzimenti.
